AXIFLOW Whole Blood Separator. Fast and high-quality plasma separation.
AXIFLOW Whole Blood Separator removes Red Blood Cells (RBC) to give free plasma so that analytes of interest may be detected directly from blood samples without the need of centrifugation or clotting to get serum. AXIFLOW Whole Blood Separator separates blood from the device itself, improves quality with our special coating method and enhances the sensitivity of test results by increasing plasma yield.

Most blood separation systems have a weakness for relying on differential migration speed of RBC and plasma, and when blood with high hematocrit is applied, the RBC leak pass the separator to somewhere else. AXIFLOW Blood Separator, on the other hand, immobilize RBC after providing blood, which does not lead to unwanted results, such as RBC leak.

20 to 35 µl of blood sample is generally required for plasma separation.

COVER TAPE
Cover tapes are required for dipsticks to maintain good contact between the membrane, the sample pad, and sink pad. This offers not only mechanical strength for delicate test components, but also prevent evaporation of samples during operation.
AXIVA cover tapes use special adhesives which are nonreactive and non-migrating, which therefore do not interfere with nitrocellulose membrane.

1.Masking Tape : These are used on the sides of absorbent pads, conjugate pads and sample pads during tests.
2. Clear Tape : Clear tapes cover the NC membrane. These are especially required in hot weathers to prevent the evaporation of samples when runnig serum tests.
